Focus

Poetic erasure through light and timing

Concept

Electric Haibun explores how partial visibility can rewrite meaning. The poem is never fully shown; backlighting reveals isolated words and phrases, letting new poems emerge from the gaps while the source text stays hidden in plain sight.

The timing of the lights acts like breath—brief illuminations that invite people to read, wait, and reassemble language on their own. Each viewing becomes a different verse.
